Cottage Rules

1. Check-in and check-out times
Check-in begins at 3:00 pm. Check-out by 11:00 am. We can arrange an early check-in or late check-out for an additional fee.

2. Parking
One parking spot is provided for each cottage.

3. Children
We love to have children as guests; a playground is provided for their enjoyment. A child is any person under the age of 18. You are responsible for the actions and safety of your children, and other children who are under your supervision. All children must obey the curfew of 11:00 pm and must be in their cottages or accompanied by a parent. No child may be left in the campground without a responsible adult supervising him. No unsupervised children in restrooms, on the beach or playground.

4. Use of cottages, contents & equipment
Guests are asked to treat cottages, contents and equipment as if they were their own. Normal wear and tear is to be expected. We will be forced to charge extra for an excessive abuse or destruction.
Place all trash in a dumpster located by the washrooms. This will keep the place clean and enjoyable for everyone. Guests are responsible for themselves, their children, visitors and pets along with the cleanliness of their cottages. No smoking in the cottages! No playing of sports is permitted around cottages (including horseshoe or bags); play them on the field by the campsites only.

5. Pets
Pets are allowed in the cottages. . They must be leashed and are NOT allowed on the beach, playground or in the buildings. Please remember to use Fido's 'pooper scooper'! Please, note that in case of not following this rule, your pet will not be allowed on the property anymore. We charge an additional $25 cleaning fee per cottage.

6. Excessive noise
All guests have the right to enjoy their cottages in relative peace and quiet without interference from excessive noise, yelling or loud music from neighbors. Music, TV, voice or other socializing sounds should be kept to the minimum volume level possible. A rule of thumb is, “if at any time, voices or music can clearly be heard from the office, it is too loud”. During quiet time from 11 pm to 8:00am, all radios, stereos, and all other loud equipment must be turned off. No music is permitted to be played or broadcast at any time outside. Excessive noise, any public intoxication, rude language, fighting and causing any kind of disturbances will not be tolerated and may terminate your stay without refund.

7.No visitors allowed.

8. Fire
Absolutely NO cutting of live trees for firewood. There is firewood ($7.00) and kindling available at the office. Fires must be attended to at all times within the specified fire ring and kept at a controllable level. All fires must be extinguished upon retiring.

9.Different
No Fireworks. Swim in the designated beach area only. This is a provincial law requirement. Please observe the 10 kmh speed limit. It is for everyone's safety and protection and will be enforced.

Please obey the laws and by-laws of our municipality, and also the laws of the Province of Ontario. Glen-Lor Lodge is not responsible for personal injury, loss, and stolen or damaged articles of any kind. For the most part, Glen-Lor Lodge is unsupervised. The owners and its staff accept no legal liability for personal injury to the users of the park, nor property damage, theft of and/or vandalism to the property of the users of the park. All users of the park hereby agree to assume all risks of personal injury, property damage, theft of and/or vandalism to property and hereby release the park owner and its staff from any and all liability associated with the use of the park. Cottage Renters assume full responsibility for their visitors. All RV’s, boats (including power, sail, canoe, and row) and other personal equipment and articles shall be covered by current and valid fire, theft, and liability insurance as well as valid registration and licensing. Please obey the laws and by-laws of our municipality, and also the laws of the Province of Ontario governing the beach area and the provincial parks. The above rules and regulations are in place in order to insure the enjoyment of all our guests. The management of Glen-Lor Lodge will enforce all rules and regulations; anyone in violation of these rules and regulations will be asked to leave the property.

 

Trailer Sites Rules 2022-23

 

The camping season (seasonal-rate period) is from June 1 to September 30.

Payment: Winter fee must be paid by October 1. First instalment must be paid by Oct 5th. Second instalment must be paid by April 5th.  To avoid a Late Payment Fine ($50) and Interest (18%), please ensure we receive your payment on or before specified dates or it will be added to your bill automatically without exceptions. Any taxes assessed on camping units or any structures on campsites will be the responsibility of the camper.

 

Site occupancy: Rates are based on one family per campsite - two adultst and unmarried dependent children. Non other than the registered family are allowed to use your trailer. You may have no more than two visitors a day on your campsite. Visitors are requierd to leave by 10 pm.

Off-Season: AT YOUR OWN RISK, only trailers may be left on site for the winter.  No personal items are to be stored near or under the trailer.  Glen-Lor Lodge is in no way responsible for any trailer, possessions, etc., which remain on site for the winter.  You release Glen-Lor Lodge from any and all liability for damage, theft, and casualty, if you leave your trailer on site for the winter.

When the campground is closed, in the case of an emergency visit you must make an appointment.  No construction, additions, alterations, or repairs (except emergency ones deemed so by management) to decks, screen porches or sheds are permitted. All constructions and repairs must be done during the periods of May 15-17 or May 29-30.

 

Decks, Sheds, and Screen Rooms:  All structures on the site must be removable, management approved, and built according to Provincial building code. No sheds are allowed.  All decks must be under 200 square feet. Enclosed decks can only have screens - no glass.   No fences or man-made barriers between lots are permitted.  No fencing, standalone bars, swings, swing sets, or play sets (commercially or home built) are permitted on site.  Permission is required prior to spreading of stone, gravel or other materials onto the site. No outside fridges or freezers are allowed.

 

Low noise level: All campers have the right to enjoy their campsite in relative peace and quiet without interference from excessive noise, yelling or loud music from neighbors. Music inside of a trailer, TV, voice or other socializing sounds should be kept to the minimum volume level possible for a camper’s enjoyment so that neighboring campers can do the same. A rule of thumb is, “if at any time, campers’ voices or music can clearly be heard from the office, it is too loud. During quiet time from 11pm to 8:00am, all radios, stereos, and all other loud equipment must be turned off.  No music is permitted to be played or broadcast  outside. All active games or sports should be played on the field by the washrooms.

Fireworks are not allowed. Fine is $1000.

Cars: Please observe the 15 kmh speed limit. It is for everyone's safety and protection and will be enforced.

One vehicle per campsite. One extra vehicle may be parked in the designated areas and must have a parking permit.

No washing of vehicles, boats or any kind of equipment on the campground. The washing of trailers must be done May 15 or May 28 only. No chemicals can be used for washing.

ATV's, dirt bikes, go-karts and Mopeds are not permitted on the campground.

 

Pets: Pets are allowed but they must be leashed and are NOT allowed on the beach, playground or in the buildings. Please remember to use Fido's ‘pooper scooper'!  (Please, note that in case of not following this rule, your pet will not be allowed in the park anymore.) Leaving pets inside or outside of your trailers while you are not on the campground is not allowed.

Please do not bring barking or vicious dogs. Pets that bark excessively, act in an aggressive manner or disturb other guests will not be tolerated.

 

Site Maintenance: NO LITTERING. Camper is responsible for maintaining a neat and clean site. Violation of posted rules will result in disciplinary action up to and including loss of camping privileges, fines, and loss of camping fees paid. No open storage is allowed. If personal property is stored under the RV, adequate skirting must be installed. Management reserves the right to clean sites and assess Residents if sites are not kept clean and weeded. All trimmings (except trees), weeds, grass cutting etc. are the responsibility of the Camper. Our insurance policy does not allow for us to loan our tools or equipment. Car, boat or any other equipment washing, oil changes, and car repairs are not allowed in the park.  Campers are required to clean up any debris and dead-fall from their sites, especially in close proximity to fire pits. Place all trash in a dumpster located by the washrooms. This will keep the place clean and enjoyable for everyone. Paying campers are responsible for themselves, their children, guests and pets along with the cleanliness of their camping area. Security deposit of $200 is paid with second instalment and will be refunded when the trailer pulled out and the site has been cleaned.

 

Hydro: Flawed electrical cords or water hoses MUST be replaced or corrected immediately. For safety and maximum capability of amperage, a heavy-duty 10-gauge electrical extension cord is recommended (12-gauge is the minimum accepted). Coiled cords, octopuses & live open sockets are hazardous and not allowed.  No major electrical appliances permitted outside your camping unit. Electric portable heaters are a major fire hazard therefore should NEVER be left on unattended or when everyone is asleep. It is a much safer practice to use your RV furnace. Seasonal campers will be held accountable and financially liable for any damage should a fire arise from an unattended electric heater, fan or an air conditioner run in their absence. Heaters or ACs are not allowed in non-insulated structures such as gazebos, sheds, etc. Air conditioners, heaters and fans are required to be completely turned off when you are away from the campground. A fine of $200 will be applied for first time offences and additional fees will be charged to those who do not comply beyond the first offence.

Firewood and campfires: Absolutely NO cutting of live trees for firewood. Campfires must be attended at all times.  Fires are allowed in camp-provided or approved fireplaces only.  A fireplace cannot be moved to another location.  The height of a fire must not exceed twelve inches above the grill.  Campers should keep water at hand on their campsite for fire-fighting purposes.  Ministry of Natural Resources and Ontario Fire Code rules and regulations will be observed at all times. 

NO BURNING OF GARBAGE IN CAMP FIRES AT ANY TIME.   

 

Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages must be confined to your own campsite. If it causes any problems, you will be warned, and then asked to leave with the loss of camping fees.

 

Personal Liability and Insurance: For the most part, the camping facility is unsupervised.  The owners and its staff accept no legal liability for personal injury to the users of the park, nor property damage, theft of and/or vandalism to the property of the users of the park. All users of the park hereby agree to assume all risks of personal injury, property damage, theft of and/or vandalism to property and hereby release the park owner and its staff from any and all liability associated with the use of the park. Campers assume full responsibility for their visitors. All RV’s, boats (including power, sail, canoe, and row) and other personal equipment and articles shall be covered by current and valid fire, theft, and liability insurance as well as valid registration and licensing.

No selling trailers on-site is permitted.

We promote using the bottled water for drinking.

All firearms are prohibited.

Any act that interferes with the enjoyment of others will terminate your stay with loss of camping fees.

Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and/or to change prices or make amendments to the rules at any time as well as to assign camping sites and parking.

We reserve the right to change rules or make new ones to benefit our campground and protect our campers at any time.

In its sole discretion, Glen-Lor Lodge reserves the right to revoke your camping privileges should you and your children and/or visitors fail to comply with any of these Rules. By utilizing the campground and its services you hereby consent to the same.
